Mr. Fan Hongwei is a farmer in Kuanhong Village, located on Kunlushan. Kuanhong Village is the fifth village out of ten on Kunlushan. His tea gardens span 5 acres, and the average age of the tea trees is around 20-30 years old ("da shu", or Tall Tree). There are over 10,000 trees in total. Kunlushan is famous for having some of the oldest tea tree forests in Yunnan, so Mr. Fan's gardens are quite young.

Kuanhong Village has a central processing area where the villagers can take their raw leaf to process into loose sheng puerh tea, which they can then sell for very high amounts to puerh factories. While Mr. Fan can easily sell his entire harvest to the factories because of the high quality, he wants to share Kunlu Mountain tea with people beyond China.

The village also has a garden of very old trees that are centuries old, which produce "gu shu", or Old Tree/Ancient Tree age. No one knows exactly how old the trees are, except that they are the oldest in the village.
